Glare from the sun can have a significant impact on your comfort and productivity. For example, glare on your computer screen or television can be irritating, and may even block your view completely, which affects both your work and your recreation. Window tint not only blocks the heat from the sun, but it also reduces the blinding glare that comes through at certain points in the day and obscures your computer screen.

Though it’s not something we usually consider, it is possible to get an unhealthy level of UV exposure from simply sitting in front of a window with a lot of sunlight coming through. Melanoma and other skin cancers are usually caused by UV radiation, which adds up over repeated exposure to sunlight. Because window tint blocks 99 percent of UV rays, you can have the peace of mind of knowing that you’re not exposing yourself to unnecessary UV damages inside your business.

Window tint is water resistant on its own, and it’s also available with a scratch-resistant coating. With these features, your windows won’t get a buildup of fingerprints and water spots that require constant cleaning (and often streak). The result is less work for you, along with beautiful, crystal clear windows.

Keep in mind that different window tint films have different properties, so be sure to discuss your needs with your installer and find out how often each type of film should be cleaned.
